KKS Challenge #80

This weeks Kraftin Kimmie Stamps Challenge was to use hand stitching on your card. This was a challenge for me...well maybe challenge is not the right word...a dislike. lol  I never sew, stitch, patch, or do anything like that.
I usually ask my mother in law to do that kinda stuff for me. It's usually my little girls stuff anyway, so when then come to Grandma and ask "Can you fix this?"  really how could she say no.  ;)

However for this challenge I did do it myself.  It took a bit of practice on a scrap piece of paper to decide what I really wanted it to look like, and this was the deciding stitch. I actually asked my husband for ideas and he suggested a baseball stitch beings my card was masculin. So that's what I did.

Anyway for this challenge I used Raymond, thought with Father's Day coming up I'd be prepared. I coloured Raymond with my copics but added the grass using my Prisma pencil crayons. I still need some more practice but I like the softer look.  The paper is some old stuff from Stampin Up and the sentiment is a rub on also from SU.

Now pop on over to the  Kraftin Kimmie challenge blog  to see more.
Have a great weekend!!

KKS Challenge #79

This week's Kraftin Kimmie challenge is to use text on your cards. I chose to work with one of our Scriptural Quotes from this months release.  The paper also has a beautiful glittery text on it and is from Be Mine DCWV that I picked up at Joannes.

I added a bit of ribbon that had some gems on it. Used my loopy nestie circles for the sentiment that I inked up using sepia versfine ink. The lacey scallops I made with my MS border punch on kraft cardstock.
To finish it I added a couple of little primas and a fabric flower from Recollections...Boutique  Fleur.

Be sure to stop by the KKS challenge blog to see what the rest of the Krafty Girls came up with this week.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great long weekend!! :)

KKS Challenge #78 Girls Rock

Alright you're back for more Kraftin Kimmie sneek peeks and seriously... you won't be disappointed.
These girls rock!! Ironically that's what this week's Kraftin Kimmie's Challenge is. Girls rock!!
So make a card for a girlfriend, doesn't need to be an occasion, but just a card to let her know what a good friend she is, or how important she is to you...or what ever. Just let a girlfriend know that SHE ROCKS!!

Speaking of women who rock...Annie has outdone herself again. She's one uber talented gal...and I hear she likes kick boxing....hmmm maybe this Janelle girl should be called Annie??

Any who...isn't she feisty?!! I had to give her some funky hair cause she oozes coolness. Added some "chains" using my ek punch. The paper was from my stash...but it was Halloween paper. I just covered up the spiders. Hee hee. Janelle comes with two sentiments "You knock me out!" and "You've got the power."

Now meet Tori. I have to laugh every time I look at this stamp because my dog is nothing like this lil fella. I have a Bernese Mountain dog and if any of you know what type a dog that is...there big!

I do love this stamp though. I carefully trimmed Tori and her little doggy out. I added a piece of black twine to replace the leash that was there. My trimming skills aren't that good.... Melanie ;)  lol

The rest of the card was simple because of the paper I used from Nikki Sivils Max & Mollie Minis that I picked up at SGD. Added a few butterflies made with my MS punch and added the sentiment that comes with Tori..."just go with it!

Tomorrow is release day so all of the sneek peeks that you've been seeing over the past few days will be available tomorrow. Be sure to check back and join our Blog Hop and a chance to win some stamps.

If you head to our Krafty Girl challenge blog you'll be able to see more sneek peeks of Annie's.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day. :)

Day three of KKS sneek peeks...

Hey there crafters, Welcome to Day three of  Kraftin Kimmie's sneek peeks. We had a late start today because blogger was having technical difficulties. But they're up and running now...and so are we. lol

Today I am showcasing this lil cutie that Steven designed. Oh and her name is....CUPCAKE CORY!! Named after my youngest daughter, and seriously she looks just like this!!  :) awwwww I'm a proud mama.

I'll probably use this card for her 5th Birthday in July. I used some glittery paper from Nana's Nursery Baby Boy Boy DCWV set. Cory's favouritee colour is purple, so it worked perfectly.

I used my SU border punch to frame the card and a ek punch to create the cupcakes topped with pearls, an ek punch for the sentiment and my scalloped oval nestie to frame Cory.

For my second card I used Nurse Nellie. Isn't she sweet bandaging up her poor lil teddy bear. I coloured Nurse Nellie with my copics, used my loopy cirlcle nesties to frame her. The papers are from With all my Heart from s.e.i, added a few primas and the sentiment was punched out using Fancy label punch from SU.

Be sure to pop on over to the Krafty Girl challenge blog to see more of Steven"s design this month.

See you tomorrow for even more sneek peeks...hmmm which artist is left?....

And again...Kimmie feels like giving away MORE stamps, so be sure to comment on each and every post featuring today's peeks, because she's giving away TWO full sets of Steven's Dress Up Kids and there's five in the set!! She'll announce the winners tomorrow! KKS Sneek Peeks...and a New Artist...

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is thrilled to introduce a new artist to the mix....her name is Cheryl Alger! You may recognize her name from Sassy Cheryl's where she creates digital art. Cheryl is creating a brand NEW line of images, specifically for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! These stamps will ONLY be available at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and ONLY as unmounted rubber stamps! Now here's a bit about Cheryl!

I grew up outside of Staunton, Virginia, but now live in the Richmond, Virginia. I absolutely LOVE to draw and always carry a small sketchbook with me in case inspiration strikes me while I'm out and about.

I have been creating digital art now for about 12 years now and have licensed my work to companies such as Kohl's, Hobby Lobby and Shopko, among others, for over eight years. I started creating digital images about two years ago. It's been a lifelong dream to become a working artist, and besides deadlines, I LOVE everything about what I do! It really helps that I have a very supportive husband and son (they also can be my biggest critics! I have to admit, I LOVE my job!

Today is day one of Sneek Peeks for this month's release of Kraftin Kimmie's Stamps. We would like to introduce give a very warm welcome to our newest artist Cheryl, welcome to the team. And what I've seen so far I love!!

There are three images of Cheryl's this month, this one is Little Summer Girl. How cute is she?!! Seriously!!
I love hair, her ducky floaty and that cute lil face with a big ole grin on it. Little Summer Girl also comes with the sentiment "Wishing You a Sunny Day."

The designer paper is from the newest Beach Babe collection from Fancy Pants, perfect eh?!! I added some ribbon that I picked up from Walmart in the $ bin, on the very bottom shelf :) and added a few white dew drops and voila. Pretty easy layout when the papers work so well.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out some of the other Krafty Girls blogs if you wanna see more sneek peeks!! You won't be disappointed...they're pretty awesome :)

Kraftin Kimmie Challenge # 77

Kraftin' with kraft paper. This week's Kraftin Kimmie challenge was to use kraft paper on our cards. Until about 6 months ago I never used kraft card stock on anything. Now it's one of my fav's.

I coloured up Lucy with my copic markers. The paper was from my stash so I'm really not sure what line it is from, I'm gonna guess maybe SU. Added a few flowers and some teal satin ribbon that I got at the $ store. Lucy also comes with this sentiment and also "Reading is food for the soul!"

We have some krafty guests joining us this month. Welcome back Kerry Johnson, Taylor Usry and Inge Groot. Also joining the team as a permanent design team member...Carole Burrage. Welcome ladies :)
